In 1989, there was an average of 45 students enrolled at the school. Today, 110 students from the communities of Pares, Parham, Seatons, Glanvilles and its environs are enrolled. We are a mixed school with seven classes (Kindergarten to Grade 6) and a Literacy Centre catering to the literacy needs of boys and girls who are challenged in language literacy.
The school follows the curriculum as laid down by the Ministry of Education. Subjects provided are Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Craft, Physical Education, Singing, Spanish and Home and Family Life Education. The school is also involved in the National Junior Male Basketball and Female Under Thirteen Netball programmes, the Child Friendly School initiative and the National Food Meals Programme.
The cornerstone of the future of Antigua and Barbuda is the quality education encouraged in the government school system. This education should be of the highest quality, accessible and effective for all regardless of income, religion, gender, nationality or disability. Investment in this education is in everyone’s future. We are therefore seeking partners to invest in the following:
Domain name: Having the domain name to this site will allow us to post unlimited information on this site and be able to add additional pages for our specific needs and to achieve the ultimate goal of this site, using it as a tool to deliver course work to student
Up to date library facility: All students should have the opportunity to encounter modern learning environments as a normal part of their educational experience and to be engaged in 21st century skills. There is urgent need for a library with at least 20 computers. We have books that were donated by the Mill Reef Fund but do not have a structure for the library since the library was transformed into a classroom because of growth at the school.
